In
November 2001 I participated in the Sausalito Yacht Club Holiday
Art Fair. I found this very lightweight white clay (the same weight
as a Styrofoam cup) and went to work on creating snowman ornaments.
Each one came to have it's own individual personality and each one
is one of a kind.
How
it all began- First I made all of the stick arms, corn-cob pipes,
noses, holly, and hats with Fimo. After rolling out their bodies
with the lightweight clay- I added the snowman peripherals I had
already made earlier and let them dry overnight.
To
the left is a picture of the first batch I rolled out. You can see
the eyes, noses, and holly that I had just baked too. After they're
dry the real fun begins... decorating!
I even
had some fun making smaller... melted snowmen with the slogan: "Warm
Holiday Greetings!"
